As a past winner of the Maureen (Reed) Brown Education Grant, I encourage all members to apply. Only the Board of the WMAC-APA sees your application and if you are the winner, it would be a great asset for your continued education. It only takes a little time to complete the application and it is worth it. We have great members in the WMAC-APA and I can't wait to see who the 2008 winner is. Good luck to all.
ReplyDeleteThe WMAC is excited to offer the Maureen Brown Award this year.
ReplyDeleteSome have asked how the grant awardee is chosen. The grant selection committee is comprised of individuals who are outside of the WMAC who are actively involved National or other local chapter volunteers. The grant application sent to the grant committee is purged of any identifying information ( name, company, etc). They will rank the grant applications based on the criteria outlined on the Grant Information Sheet "The grant is for recognition of personal and professional commitment to the payroll profession".
Please take a moment and review the grant application and consider completing one for yourself or for another deserving WMAC member.
